Weclome to a new school year!
We're well underway in the 2009-2010 school year, and things are going very well. We are still concerned about our declining enrollment, but we have enrolled a few new students, including Alvaro from Germany and Morten from Denmark. Among our new faces are two teachers, McKenna Cox, who works in both schools and Alicia Hess, who is our part-time art teacher.
NWEA testing is new this year, and we have already tested all students in math, reading, and language arts. The results of these tests should help us help you continue to achieve.
Our teams are nearing the end of the volleyball and cross-country seasons, and basketball is on the horizon. We're happy to announce that CHS will have cheerleaders again this year, coached by Melissa Dunlop and Teresa Wall.
Asics shoe company's name is an acronym: Anima Sana in Corpore Sano, which means "sound mind in a sound body." This sounds like an appropriate way to approach life.
